Scuba Diving
Scuba diving is a mode of underwater diving where the diver uses a self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (SCUBA), which is completely independent of surface supply, to breathe underwater. Scuba divers carry their own source of breathing gas, usually compressed air, allowing them greater independence and freedom of movement than surface-supplied divers, and longer underwater endurance than breath-hold divers.
Refresher dive courses are also available in Key West at the many dive shops.
Key West is one of the very best vacation destinations for anything tropical. It is especially the best for any activity that is in the water. With crystal clear, blue, ocean waters, Key West is the prime location for scuba diving or snorkeling, and conditions usually stay around the same year round.
There are many interesting things to see while diving from wrecked ships to incredible sea life. Keep in mind that the ocean as a fragile and balanced environment. In order to maintain this wonderful fantasy land of underwater diving, it is important to remember it is okay to look when you dive, but please don't touch! Mother Nature has figured out this eco-balance. So always remember to "Not Mess With Mother Nature" when you dive.
